The psycho-educational program

We started the psycho-educational sessions with the first group of children!

It’s the chance for a balanced life, for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

At the end of 2018, we started the first personal development courses, for the children included in the psycho-educational program, initiated by the “Aici pentru Tine” Association. The first group consists of 6 children, aged between 8 and 10 years, and a second group will be created in the next period, for those aged between 10 and 13 years.

We thank, first of all, to Mr. Clinical Psychologist Zamfir Ion, who is by the children’s side, helping them, in each course, to develop their skills, to have a positive and open attitude towards people, to be empathetic and altruists, to adapt, to estimate and to solve behavioral problems.

The chance of such therapy, for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, is very rare in society, because the sessions at the psychologist are, in general, a privilege of those who have sufficient material resources.

Each module lasts 6 months and includes weekly sessions, of two hours. Which consists of learning activities, through alternative methods, many games and practical exercises, discussions on topics of general interest, presentations and motivational videos. All assessments are made based on approved neuropsychological tests, included in the Battery for assessing cognitive abilities (NEPSY) for children between 3-12 years old.

These children deserve the chance to evolve like the others, to solve their emotional problems. Lack of confidence, lack of attention, lack of self-esteem are bigger problems than lack of money, food or clothes.

Kaufland supports the psycho-educational program!

We started the psychological tests on the NEPSI battery for cognitive and emotional functions for the children from the psycho-educational program of the cognitive and emotional functions for the children that participate in the psycho-educational program.

It is one of the great successes of the association’s programs and for that we thank from the bottom of our hearts to those who helped these children: Kaufland Romania, George Baritiu County Library Brasov and Promedivet Sovata.

Without these people, the children in our program would not have had this huge chance to become perfect people in the future.

The plan for developing and training aptitude skills.

 

 

Thinking through all its features is a constituent element of the human personality and is of overwhelming importance.

 

The child’s brain develops mostly in the intrauterine period, but he does not stop his development after this period, but develops even more by his relationship with the environment.

 

This relationship allows the formation of neural connections and brain structures to develop and form a complex architecture of the brain, ensuring a broad and correct cognitive development. Cognitive stimulation should be seen as a necessary element. The more varied the environment, the more the child will become involved in understanding, exploring and controlling it.

 

The child’s natural, natural desire is to seek to understand what is around him. In modern reference research, it has been found that in the preschool and preschool periods, mental malleability allows a massive educational influence not only in the informative field, but also in the formative one, an element that favors acquisition and development.

In our psycho-educational project, we use the potential of each child in the three psychological components: cognitive, emotional and behavioral and actively stimulate the level of development of each child with the help of exercise games used in developmental sessions.

 

This way of stimulation through interactive and attractive games at the same time, arouse the children’s interest for the execution of some didactic tasks and maintain the necessary effort for its execution. Exercise games are necessary both in consolidating the accumulated knowledge or training skills and developing other aspects of the personality. Work variants can include similar tasks, of the same degree of difficulty, but presented in different forms to prevent boredom and not to install monotony in the emotional plane.

 

Therefore, the grading of the tasks of the play-exercises must be done gradually, starting from the developmental stage in which the child is and developing his specific skills of the training sequence so that he is gradually attracted to what he knows, towards something new, but still easy to achieve.

 

Consolidation of newly acquired knowledge must be consistent with both the child’s interest and the usefulness of this accumulated knowledge and thus the resonance in the sphere of affectivity is guaranteed by self-satisfaction and self-fulfillment that is useful and good in what he does.

 

The mode of action in these games-exercises is based on the mental process that we aim to develop.

 

Stimulation through this type of exercise-game triggers in a more visible or less visible form, several psychic processes, even if we explicitly intend to refer to one of them. In order to follow the development of a certain feature or operation of thinking, I appeal at the same time to other operations or features of it, but from a formative point of view we will consider only that operation or feature of thinking, and the task of the game is addressed in greater to that formative attribute.

The basic concept in the act of the psycho-educational program is the way of knowing and discovering the human potential that we have as bio-psycho-social beings. From this perspective of human knowledge it is very important to develop children’s skills in relation to the potential that each child has and is interested in developing.

 

The formation of these skills necessary for life is our central goal in the psycho-educational program we carry out, a goal that focuses on the development of knowledge, relationships and communication, but at the same time the desire to explore, discover and manage the elements. and new phenomena in the world in which they live.

 

Through sustained teaching, children will learn to see the advantages and benefits of education, and later will be the ones who will encourage others to learn.
